Accessibility & barrier-free environments

Our team of occupational therapists help ensure environments are accessible and barrier-free for our clients.

At M-CARE we work together towards universally accessible and barrier-free environments

At M-CARE, we understand that accessibility and barrier-free environments includes more than accessing and exiting a home or a building. Our team has expertise in completing detailed and comprehensive assessments of built environments including homes, institutions and corporate buildings and workspaces to identify solutions to promote user access and safety.

Our scope of work includes working with building experts and designers to assess a client’s use of space, functional needs and existing barriers to be able to determine best solutions to meet their needs and demands.

Our team members collaborate with architects, contractors and building industry experts to provide comprehensive accessible solutions to reduce environmental barriers.

We provide comprehensive solutions for all accessibility needs

We understand that environmental barriers hinder clients’ ability to participate in their chosen activities and occupations. Ill-fitted spaces whether a workstation or inaccessible environment create barriers to an individual’s function and potential to perform their desired occupations.

Our occupational therapists will work with clients to thoroughly assess their environments, their functional needs and will collaborate with them and with industry experts to provide solutions that will allow them to use their space optimally.
